The Blooming Minds Project is driven by our Passion to Deliver and Create Sustainable Change for Children and Young People’s Mental Health through Specialised and Personalised Therapeutic Interventions.
Our Goal is not to change who a Young Person is, it is to help them understand themselves, make sense of their experiences and develop the skills they need to feel empowered to manage life’s challenges.
-
Understand Emotions, Thoughts & Behaviours through Psychoeducation and Formulation.
-
Develop Practical Coping Strategies & Adapted Mindset to reduce negative thinking patterns and unhelpful behaviours.
-
Empowering Young People to take control of their mind and emotions through successful delivery of CBT.
My Approach
-
I use evidence-based psychological approaches, particularly CBT, whilst recognising that every young person is different.
-
Where appropriate, i work closely with Parents, Carers and Schools, helping them understand what their young person may be experiencing and how they can support them outside of sessions and improve the system around them.
-
Empowering Young People is the heart of what we do. Giving them skills, knowledge and tools to manage their own Mental Health.
-
Therapy is adapted to the individual young person, their developmental stage, strengths, needs and circumstances. Creating a shared, adapted and tailored care plan is the start of our therapeutic journey.
What began as a passion in Psychology, has grown into so much more.
I’m a specialist Children’s Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with extensive experience working within Children’s Mental Health Services and Education Settings.
Young People can experience emotional difficulties in many different ways. Sometimes they may know exactly what they are struggling with; at other times, they may simply know that something doesn’t feel right.
